Building hotels to feed the soul¡n ~ THN TTG Asia 18

Lu Song Yuan, our hotel in Beijing. Amazingly cheap,
and oozing atmosphere, staying here was like being in
a living museum. Within walking distance of the Forbidden
City, the hotel is built around four courtyards, furnished
with wonderful period furniture, and was the one-time
residence of the Qing royal family. It was an absolute
pleasure to come back here at the end of a day, and
find the experience of being in historical China didn't
end at the door of our hotel. Highly recommended.

Building hotels to feed the soul¡n"¡K In Beijing,
the modest LuSongYuan is not so much a hotel as a cluster
of traditional Qing courtyards in the heart of old hutongs
(lanes)."
