Building hotels to feed the soul¡n ~ THN TTG Asia 18 - 24 August 2000

Lu Song Yuan, our hotel in Beijing. Amazingly cheap, and oozing atmosphere, staying here was like being in a living museum. Within walking distance of the Forbidden City, the hotel is built around four courtyards, furnished with wonderful period furniture, and was the one-time residence of the Qing royal family. It was an absolute pleasure to come back here at the end of a day, and find the experience of being in historical China didn't end at the door of our hotel. Highly recommended. ~ Shout Arts & Entertainment Monthly (Australia) Dec 2003-Jan 2004

Building hotels to feed the soul¡n"¡K In Beijing, the modest LuSongYuan is not so much a hotel as a cluster of traditional Qing courtyards in the heart of old hutongs (lanes)."
