  Hong Kong Airlines to run new route between Hong Kong and Xian


[2012-2-20] From 5 March 2012 to 31 October 2012, Hong Kong Airlines will also run the route between Hong Kong and Xian.  Special airfare for a round-trip ticket starts from HK$2,140, except 4 – 7 April, 15 July – 25 August, and 28 – 30 September 2012.

Xian, the provincial capital of Shaanxi Province, is the largest city in northwest China and the starting point of the ancient Silk Road.  It was called Chang’an (literally means “eternal peace”) in ancient times.  The world renowned Terracotta Warrior Museum, Han Yang Ling Mausoleum, Old City Wall, Shaanxi Provincial History Museum, and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda are some of the famous sightseeing spots in Xian.
